Pont Briwet - Acting as Environmental Liaison Officer Sian Griffiths was on hand to provide environmental advice on this design and build project for a new road and railway bridge across the Dwyryd Estuary in Penrhyndeudraeth, Gwynedd.   Ecological presence ensured the capture of reptiles during the construction period, with mitigation for otter, bats and migratory fish being incorporated into the design proposals.  Soft engineering to arrest and mitigate against salt marsh erosion and encourage establishment of the habitat post construction was also undertaken.
